Groove Guy

Play as a music engineer who is trying to:

• Take their career to the next level
• Win back the heart of the love of their life
• Talk with some interesting friends along the way.

How to play:

1. Load the game, read the guide, and press “Start Game”
2. Open up ContactMate, and talk to your Manager. He’ll give you a contract for a piece of inspirational music.
3. Open up GrooveGuy. Your goal is to add loops to the song so GrooveGuy (the groovy, dancing dude) can dance all the way through the loop. Get extra style points if he ends up at the position he started in!
4. If you get stuck, you can press Skip. There’s more than one way to solve some of the problems, so try to collect all the Notes (with music note icons) for extra points at the end of the game!

Instruments

• Bass: You can “drop” through bass tiles, even if they’re covering up other tiles.
• Violin: Switches gravity upside-down.
• Trumpet: Propels you upwards.
• Drums: Like a trampoline, the faster you go down, the faster you bounce up.
• Piano: Can stand on them.
• Guitar: Can stand on them.

Hints

• If two loops edit the same point on the grid, the one you added last will override the first one.
• If two loops clash musically, they probably don’t belong together.

Groove Guy is a piece of software used to create music from “music loops” (and he’s also the mascot for the software).

We are aware of some bugs with stopping audio, and submitting loops. Please feel free to let us know if you find an issue, and we’ll fix it asap :)
